How It Is Built
Security is the architecture, not a feature.
Handling behavioral-health records means best-effort security is not enough. Here is what that looks like inside ABHOS, from the first commit onward.
HIPAA-compliant by architecture
Compliance is not bolted on at the end. The data model, access control, and infrastructure are all designed around HIPAA from the very first commit.
Signed BAAs across the stack
Every vendor that touches patient data signs a Business Associate Agreement. There are no handshake dependencies anywhere in the chain of custody.
Per-tenant data isolation
Every organization gets its own isolated data at the database level, so no tenant can ever read or reach the records of another.
Enforced MFA
Authenticator-app multi-factor (AAL2) is required for every clinician account — enforced by the system, not left to the user.
Full audit logging
Every access and change to patient data is recorded, producing a complete, reviewable trail of who did what, and when.
AI that never leaks patient data
The AI features are architected so patient data is never sent to a consumer model. Real intelligence, with zero exposure of protected health information.
SOC 2 in progress
We are formalizing and independently verifying the controls we already run in production. SOC 2 is in progress.
